A Dream Backyard I Never Thought Was Possible

I feel like the luckiest retiree on the planet.

I'm Linda. My Modul Pools pool is a 10x20. I chose the white mini pebble finish with Artesian Light coping, and I also added the spa, which I absolutely love.

When I retired, I decided that the only way I was going to stay healthy was to build a pool. It was the best decision I could have made. I'm already healthier than when I left work, and I truly believe it's going to help me live a longer, healthier life.

Honestly, I never thought I could fit a pool in this backyard. It was always my dream, but I couldn't picture it working. When the team came out and laid everything out, I remember asking, "Is it going to be big enough for at least two floaties?" It turned out much bigger than I expected, and everyone who sees it says, "Wow, it's bigger than I thought it would be."

I love that I can have family and friends over to enjoy it with me.

Before I had the pool, I barely used the backyard. I'd come out here with a book once in a while, but there wasn't much to look at, and it didn't make me happy. I knew I had to change that.

For years, I saved pictures of my dream backyard. I found pools that I absolutely loved, but I couldn't find a company here that built anything like them. Most of the inspiration I found was from other countries, and I remember thinking, "Why don't I live in Argentina? They build gorgeous pools."

I couldn't believe how quickly they built everything. Watching the crews work was like watching an orchestrated dance. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing, and everything came together so efficiently.

The day they installed the mini pebble finish, there were people everywhere working together, and I remember thinking, "This is incredible."

Martin and his team were absolutely fantastic. Brendan kept telling me, "I want to make it perfect for you," and he meant it. They even built me a custom step. It ended up a little higher than I wanted, and Brendan immediately said, "Don't worry, we'll take care of it." He came back out, fixed it, and now it's perfect.

My family is already planning to spend Mother's Day here next year.

It's everything I dreamed it would be.

I feel so incredibly lucky. It honestly feels unbelievable. My heart is bursting. I could cry—but I don't want to cry on camera. They're happy tears.
