How We Build Modul Pools?

Week 1

Excavation, Steel, and Plumbing.

The first phase begins with excavating the area where your pool will take shape. Once the ground is prepared, we install the steel reinforcement framework that gives the pool its strength and structure. At this stage, all plumbing lines are run, and essential equipment is set in place to support the pool’s future operation.

Weeks 2-3

Shotcrete

Next comes one of the most critical steps: forming the concrete shell. We use high-strength 4500 psi shotcrete, applied under pressure to create a durable, watertight structure for your pool. After the shell is completed, it requires a curing period and proper maintenance to ensure maximum strength and longevity.

Weeks 3-4

Luxury Waterfall Edge Tile & Coping

The Finishing Touch That Defines Your Pool

Once the concrete shell has fully cured, the artistry begins. Our masonry team carefully installs the coping and tile, the details that frame and define your pool’s design. This is the moment when the transformation really comes to life.

At Modul, every pool is finished with premium porcelain tile, expertly mitered at 45 degrees. This technique creates a seamless waterfall edge that flows from coping to waterline tile, giving your pool a timeless and luxurious look you won’t find in standard builds.

Why We Never Use Concrete Coping?

After building thousands of pools, we’ve seen one thing again and again: concrete coping is a problem waiting to happen.

  • Discoloration: Sun, water, and chemicals quickly cause uneven fading.
  • Cracking: Shifts in soil and natural expansion often lead to fractures.
  • High Maintenance: Frequent sealing and patching become necessary just to keep it looking presentable.

These issues aren’t just common, they’re almost inevitable. That’s why we’ve eliminated them from our construction process.

Weeks 3-4

Pebble Interior Finish

The Final Layer: Beauty That Lasts

The last step in bringing your pool to life is applying the interior finish. At Modul, we use a high-quality mini pebble surface, a blend of natural stones that creates a smooth, durable, and visually striking finish. This final layer isn’t just about looks; it’s engineered to stand up to decades of use while keeping your water sparkling and inviting.

Why We Don’t Offer Plaster

While traditional plaster is the cheapest option available, we’ve chosen not to offer it and here’s why:

  • Short lifespan: Plaster typically needs to be redone within 5–7 years due to etching, staining, or roughness.
  • Maintenance headaches: It’s far more vulnerable to chemical imbalance, requiring strict upkeep just to avoid damage.
  • Appearance issues: Over time, plaster discolors, spots, and becomes rough underfoot, diminishing both comfort and beauty.

We’ve seen too many homeowners spend more time and money resurfacing a plaster pool than they ever expected.

Weeks 5-6

Project Completion

With the interior finish complete, your pool is ready to be filled with water. Our team carefully balances and starts up the system, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

We also walk you through the operation of your pool equipment so you feel confident maintaining it.

At this point, your pool is officially ready for you and your family to enjoy.
